I use this exact recipe for our family of 4, especially during the cold/flu season for an extra boost of immunity to keep those germs away. Great way to keep our family healthy!

Ingredients

  • 4 Oranges

  • 2 Lemons

  • 10 Ginger Root Fingerlings (about 2” long each)

  • 1 TBSP Turmeric

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper ( This activates the power of turmeric)

  • 1 tsp Cayenne

  • 1/2 Cup of Honey

  • Water or Coconut water

  • Cheesecloth or small strainer

In a blender, place chopped ginger (with/without skin), lemons (no peel), oranges (no peel), honey, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne. Pour water until it reaches the top of ingredients. Blend 30-60 seconds.

Once blended, pour mix through cheese cloth or strainer into a 1 Liter glass bottle ( 1/4 gallon) to produce a liquified shot. ( This isn’t a must, but it allows for a smoother gulp ;-), believe me )

This simple Ginger Shot will stay fresh in refrigerator for 7-10 days.
