Christmas is coming soon. The snow is falling, the fire is lit, and now it's time to shine.

After finding the perfect tree or setting up your artificial tree, what do we do first?

First, find a color scheme that you like and use ornaments, ribbons, textured clips, bows, all of various sizes and texture. Using a variety of ornament styles create depth and dimension. Fun tip: Cracker Barrell during the holiday season sells a ton of assorted christmas ornaments and decorations that truly make a tree sparkle! It's one of my favorite go tos.

Once you've put up your tree, hang the lights (make sure they work first before wrapping them around the tree- I made the mistake of not testing them and when I plugged them in, no lights came on) and make sure to intertwine them inside the branches as you wrap it around the tree. This sets the tone for illuminating all the assorted ornaments you place on the tree. For the topper, you can hang a star, an angel or even create your very own bow for the top of your tree. I'll make a video on how to do that. Hang big balls, little balls, twine clips ons, ribbon/bows, feathered doves, stars, hearts, rhinestone shapes, icicles, sparkly and beaded ornaments. As long as you stay in the color scheme, it really builds an extravagant and showcase tree without breaking the bank! Now you can lay your christmas tree skirt once you're finished to complete the look. For a pink, gold and cream/white color scheme, here are a few items that set the base of your tree to add more elements and build upon and budget friendly!
